Connection Notes
- Arrows indicate the direction of initial connection.
- Recast Cloud can connect to devices via Console Extension, Recast Proxy or Recast Agent routes.
- Where Recast Agent software is deployed on devices (recommended), Agents must enroll with Recast Cloud via Agent Gateway.
- Network traffic is unidirectional from a Recast Agent to an Agent Gateway.
- For Insights warranty data collection, network traffic is unidirectional from the Recast Cloud to the Warranty API.
User Interfaces
Recast Customer Portal: Enterprise customers download Recast licenses and Right Click Tools components from the portal. Located at https://customerportal.recastsoftware.com.
Recast Community Portal: Community users download Right Click Tools components and licenses from the portal. Located at https://portal.recastsoftware.com.
Right Click Tools Console Extension: View and take action on dashboards, reports, and context-specific tools integrated into your Configuration Manager and/or Intune environment. The Console Extension is installed as a plug-in for the Configuration Manager console or via a browser extension for the Intune Admin Center and other interfaces. Used with Right Click Tools Enterprise and Community.
Recast Cloud: View and manage settings, configurations, permissions, and logs. Used with Right Click Tools Enterprise, Insights, Privileged Access, and Patching. Located at https://cloud.recastsoftware.com.
