We recommend installing multiple servers within a single Application Workspace System as this creates redundancy which prevents down time for web services when a single server fails or during system updates.
To add extra servers to an existing Application Workspace System:
1. Install a new Application Workspace Server by running the Application Workspace Server Setup Wizard.
2. In the installer's Setup Database window, point the database information to an existing database.
The installer will then skip the zone creation step and install the server as an additional server.
Do not copy an existing server.json from another server, as this file includes information that defines the trust information between the database and the server instance.
All Application Workspace Server installations must access each other on both 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) ports. This is required for content replication and communication between Application Workspace Servers.
A load balancing solution is required to enable redundancy and for spreading load across multiple Application Workspace Servers. See Load balancing for configuration recommendations.
