When Right Click Tools detects multiple devices on an Intune Admin Center page, it will attempt to open the Recast sidebar and run available Recast actions from there—making it possible to multi-select devices and run an action against all of them at once.
Prerequisites for running multi-device actions in Intune
- Right Click Tools Enterprise license
- Right Click Tools connected to a Recast Management Server
- Recast browser extension installed
- Device where the browser extension is installed running Recast Software Version 5.10.2506 or later
NOTE: When first attempting to open the Recast side panel without a connection to a Recast Management Server, Right Click Tools will prompt you to enter the URL for your RMS. If Right Click Tools cannot validate the connection to RMS, you can still run the action against a single device using the Recast Console Extension.
To run a Recast action against multiple devices:
1. On the Intune All devices page, click the Recast icon to the right of the page name.
2. In the Recast side panel that opens, use the search, sorting and filtering options to limit the device list (optional).
3. Multi-select devices to run an action against. We recommend choosing fewer than 50 devices.
4. Navigate through Right Click Tools menus within the side panel and choose the action to run.
NOTES:
- Clicking the Recast icon on an individual device page, or when Right Click Tools is not connected to a Recast Management Server, will open the Right Click Tools menus in the main window and run actions using the Recast Console Extension.
- The Recast side panel will initially load 50 devices. Add more devices by scrolling down within the Intune results and then clicking the side panel's Refresh button.
- Currently, the device list in the main window does not update dynamically as you select or filter devices in the side panel. Similarly, side panel information will not update as you make changes within the main window. Refresh the main window or side panel to see updated results.
- Expanding the side panel's width makes it easier to view the information and available actions in multi-tab tools such as System Information.
