Release Date: September 16, 2026
Right Click Tools Version 5.12.2609.1102 includes new features and bug fixes.
You can find instructions for installing this version in our articles on updating Right Click Tools, Insights, Privileged Access, and Patching.
Features
Right Click Tools Enterprise
Remote Registry Multi-Device Support
Open the Remote Registry tool and connect to multiple computers within the same window. This functionality also works to launch Remote Registry against multiple devices in your Recast Management Server and the RCT Browser Extension. Minimum browser extension version: 3.4.0.0.
Remote Registry Refinements
You'll notice a number of subtle changes — most of which result from customer suggestions — that make the Remote Registry tool even better.
- View and edit the (Default) registry key
- Double-click on a Registry value to edit it
- Navigate quickly through the device tree or the values list by typing a letter, which lets you jump to the first item starting with that letter. Keep typing the same letter to cycle through every match.
- Quickly identify the connected device - it now appears at the top of the navigation pane
- Right-click the device tree to add or disconnect a computer
- See computers as top level entries in the tree, with a computer icon for easy identification
- Spot failed connections flagged in red
- A decluttered audit log shows just necessary event information

Recast Remote Tools
Recast's new Remote Tools are designed to address network and authentication challenges experienced primarily by our customers with cloud-only endpoints. In addition to the available Remote File Explorer and Remote Registry tools, we're planning Remote PowerShell and Remote Event Viewer features. We invite your suggestions and feedback about our Remote Tools on the Recast Ideas Portal.
Right Click Tools Community
Run Intune-specific Right Click Tools Actions
Community users can now run Microsoft Graph-based actions using the Right Click Tools browser extension. Previously, RCT's Graph–dependent actions required a service connection from a Recast Management Server to Entra ID, which excluded Community users since they cannot create service connections. Minimum browser extension version 3.4.0.0.
Intune actions available in the Community Edition:
- Entra ID Security Groups
- Set Autopilot Group Tag
- Remove Devices from Autopilot
- Delete Devices from Azure (Entra/Intune)
Right Click Tools for Intune Browser Extension
Pre-define Your Recast Management Server or Recast Cloud URL by Policy
As a Right Click Tools admin, you can preset the URL for your Recast Management Server/Recast Cloud instance using a Registry value. Doing so lets RCT Browser Extension users enable multi-device actions and new web experiences, like the System Information side panel, without each user having to manually configure the URL. For details, see Set RMS/Recast Cloud URL by Policy.
Right Click Tools Insights
Gain More Insight into Your Device Inventory and Installed Software
Draw device information from an expanded set of hardware, software, and operating system inventory classes. For the full list of attributes collected for each class, see Inventory Class Data for Agent-Based Devices.
New Add/Remove Programs (ARP) inventory class:
- RI_InstalledSoftware - Inventories all installed software on the device
New default inventory classes:
- Win32_BIOS
- Win32_BitLockerEncryptionDetails
- Win32_ComputerSystem
- Win32_EncryptableVolume
- Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration
- Win32_OperatingSystem
- Win32_SystemEnclosure
- Win32_Tpm
Choose the Inventory Information You Collect
See the Default inventory policy, with a complete list of classes and attributes, in your Recast Management Server/Recast Cloud. You can also enable or disable Insights inventory classes, adjusting the information collected to suit your needs. To know more, see View and Edit Collected Inventory Classes.
See Primary User Information & Customize Your View of Warranty Data
On the Warranty Information > Devices tab, you can now view a computer's primary Intune user. Previously, you'd have to correlate the primary user from within Intune. You can also resize, add, and remove columns to customize your view.
Right Click Tools Privileged Access
Target Group Rules at a Single Device
Apply a device-specific group rule without first needing to create a target group. To learn how, see Target a Group Rule at a Single Device.
Right Click Tools Patching
Add Native Windows ARM64 Applications to Deployment and Update Processes
Deploy and update ARM64 applications using RCT Patching deployment processes and Software Updates for ConfigMgr.
Check Application Compliance Within an Individual ConfigMgr or Intune Environment
See the applications supported within a specific ConfigMgr or Intune environment. When you choose a data source, Patching will pull the relevant App compliance information from its Add/Remove Programs data. For more information, see View Applications to Update with RCT Patching.
NOTE: If your Right Click Tools deployment is not connected to a Recast Management Server, you'll only see data for the console's local ConfigMgr.
