Use the Delete Device(s) From Azure (Intune/Entra) tool to remove a device from Intune and/or Entra. The device will lose its trust relationship with Azure and prevent users from logging into the device. This tool can be run on single and multi-selected devices from within Configuration Manager or Intune. This action can only run over a Recast Proxy route.
This feature does not currently work in Recast Builder.
Prerequisites
- Recast Management Server installed with Recast Proxy
- The App Registration for your Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) service connection includes the following Microsoft Graph API Application permissions:
- DeviceManagementManagedDevices.ReadWrite.All - for deleting devices from Intune
- Device.ReadWrite.All - for deleting devices from Entra
For more information, see our article on setting up Graph API permissions for Right Click Tools.
- Service connection from your Recast Management Server to Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Recast Software v5.10.2508.1302 or later
- Right Click Tools for Intune browser extension v2.0.0.6 or later
To run the tool:
1. Right-click on one or more devices.
2. Select Right Click Tools > Console Tools > Delete Device(s) From Azure (Intune/Entra).
3. Enable Delete from Intune and/or Delete from Entra.
4. Confirm the deletion.
NOTE: The device list in Intune may be slow to update.
