Recast Software Version 5.8.2501 introduces Right Click Tools for Intune, which can be accessed using the Right Click Tools browser extension. This add-on, which is currently available for Microsoft Edge, enables you to run familiar Right Click Tools from within the Microsoft Intune Admin Center and other interfaces. You can expect that each action will function from within Intune as it does when running it within the Configuration Manager console.
The browser extension currently supports a limited set of tools for Microsoft Entra hybrid joined devices and Entra joined devices. Future releases will add to the number of actions that can be run on those devices. We welcome your input and feature requests in the Recast Software Ideas Portal.
Requirements for installing and running the Community Edition of Right Click Tools using the Right Click Tools browser extension:
- Version 5.8.2501 or later of the Right Click Tools Community Edition installed on the device from which you will run Right Click Tools actions
NOTE: Right Click Tools requires the installation of Microsoft Configuration Manager on the device from which you intend to run Right Click Tools actions.
NOTE: Beginning with v5.8.2501, new versions of the Community Edition are available from the Recast Portal.
The Right Click Tools browser extension works with both the Enterprise and Community Editions of Right Click Tools. This installation workflow is intended to guide Community users adding browser extension functionality to a new or existing implementation of the Right Click Tools Community Edition.
Recommended workflow for installing the browser extension with Right Click Tools Community:
1. Make sure that the browser extension requirements are in place.
2. Download v5.8.2501 or later of the Right Click Tools Community Edition, plus the license file, from the Recast Portal.
3. Install Right Click Tools Community v5.8.2501 or later.
4. Add your licenses to the Configure Recast Console Extension application.
5. Add the Right Click Tools browser extension.
Once you've completed the installation steps, you'll be able to find your familiar Right Click Tools within Intune.

A Right Click Tools browser extension license is automatically included in v5.8.2501 and later of the Right Click Tools Community Edition.
To access your Right Click Tools Community Edition license:
1. If you don't already have your free Recast Software account, create it at recastsoftware.com/free-tool-download. In response, you'll receive an email from registration@recastsoftware.com containing a link to verify your account.
2. Log into the Recast Portal with your Recast Software credentials.
3. Download the Right Click Tools Community Edition and your Community license.
4. After running the Right Click Tools installer, navigate to Assets and Compliance > Recast Software in your Configuration Manager console.
5. Click Configure Recast in the 'How Can We Help?' section.
6. On the Licensing tab, in the Download License section, enter your Recast Software Portal credentials and click Retrieve License.
TIP: If you downloaded your license from the Recast Portal, you can alternatively retrieve it using the Browse function.
You can find the Recast Right Click Tools browser extension in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.
NOTE: In organizations that restrict browser extension access, add Recast Right Click Tools to the list of allowed browser extensions.
To add the browser extension:
1. In the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, navigate to Recast Right Click Tools.
2. Click the Get button.
3. Confirm that you want to add Recast Right Click Tools to Microsoft Edge by clicking Add extension.
To make the extension visible in your browser toolbar:
1. Click the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece), located in your browser toolbar. 
2. In the drop-down menu that opens, click the Show in toolbar icon to the right of Recast Right Click Tools.
With the browser extension added, you can then find Right Click Tools within Intune.
