To access all the newest features, performance improvements, and bug fixes included in Right Click Tools Patching releases, install new versions of Recast Management Server.
NOTE: All Recast components, including Recast Management Server, Recast Proxies, and Recast Agents, can be installed right over the existing version.
To install an update:
1. Download the Recast Management Server installation file from the Recast Portal.
2. Double-click the downloaded installation file.
3. Follow the installer prompts.
NOTE: As long as your Recast Proxy is installed on the same computer, it will update when you run the Recast Management Server installer. If your Recast Proxy is installed on a separate device, you'll need to download and run the Proxy installer.
For the software updates feature, all devices update to the most recent application version by default. This means, for example, that all devices that have WinZip 9 or WinZip 10 installed will update to the latest WinZip 10 version. Beginning with Recast Version 5.11.2512.1807, you have the choice to restrict updates to those within a major version. See Limit Software Update Within Major Version.
