By default all software update processes will update devices to the most recent application version. This means, for example, that all devices that have WinZip 9 or WinZip 10 installed will update to the latest WinZip 10 version.
Beginning with Recast Version 5.11.2512.1807, you have the option to restrict updates within a major version. In this scenario, WinZip 9 would only update to newer versions of WinZip 9 and would not jump to the next major version.
To limit updates within a major version:
1. Navigate to the Patch only minor versions setting in your software update settings or environment settings, depending on whether you editing the setting for one software update process or all software update processes in the environment.
Single software update process: From the Software Updates for ConfigMgr page, click the ellipsis (...) to the right of the deployment process and select Manage Settings from the drop-down.

All software update processes: From the Patching Settings page, click the Settings cog to the right of the environment. On the Environment Settings page that opens, click Software Update Processes.

2. Enable Patch only minor versions by toggling the setting to 'Yes'.

NOTE: An orange warning icon will appear, denoting that this setting will override the default setting it would normally inherit.
