Manually triggering a restart of the Intune Management Extension Service can remove delays added by the timers that work with the extension. Without those delays, which can last up to 60 minutes, application installs and scripts can run immediately.
This tool can be run on single devices and multi-selected devices.
This tool is available in both the Community and Enterprise Editions of the Right Click Tools Console Extension and Browser Extension.
Prerequisites
- Minimum Recast Software Version: 5.11.2606
- Minimum browser extension version: 3.1.0.0, if accessing this functionality via Intune
To run the Restart Intune Management Extension Service tool:
1. Right-click on a device.
2. Select Right Click Tools > Console Tools > Restart Intune Management Extension Service.
Running the action kicks off the restart automatically and returns a Complete! success message in Right Click Tools.
