Recast Management Server
New Logging Level Defaults
In response to customer feedback that our default logging levels can be a little verbose, particularly in larger environments, we've reduced the Event log level to 'None' for all components and Microsoft and System namespaces to 'Warning' for all components.
New Service Connections Search
On the Service Connections page, we've added a search function and updated some column header labels. For details, see View Service Connections.

BitLocker Compliance Dashboard Updates
You'll notice some changes to the pie charts on the BitLocker Compliance dashboards located in your ConfigMgr console and in your Recast Management Server interface.
Updates for both ConfigMgr and RMS dashboards:
- The BitLocker Recovery Key Storage chart now displays data for a simplified set of categories:
- Computers without stored keys
- Computers with keys stored in AD
- Computers with keys stored in ConfigMgr
- Computers with keys stored in MBAM
- Computers with keys stored in multiple locations
Updates for the ConfigMgr dashboard only:
- The dashboard title has been shortened to 'BitLocker Compliance' for consistency with other Right Click Tools dashboards.
- The charts and legends only display categories that include at least one device.
- In the table, a new Key Storage column displays recovery key storage locations.

PLEASE NOTE: A known issue with this release affects users upgrading to this release from Recast Software Version 5.4.2401.1004. The issue only impacts upgrades via the 5.4.2401.1004 path, meaning that new installations of this version—as well as upgrades from v5.3.2312.503 and earlier—are not affected. If you are planning an upgrade from v5.4.2401.1004, we strongly recommend moving to Recast Software Version 5.4.2403.901.

Encrypted Password Support for Windows LAPS
AD LAPS Password & Set LAPS Password Expiration tools now work with the new Windows LAPS feature, as well as legacy Microsoft LAPS, for encrypted passwords. Both tools also now display the local admin account name when using Windows LAPS.
New Recast Builder Action
Download and Install Select Updates action: This action allows you to download and install selected missing software updates on a comanaged device.

Application Manager for MECM
Supercedence Relationship Removal for Non-existing Applications
Supersedence relationships for non-existing applications are removed weekly. This feature only affects applications created by Application Manager where Retired cleanup is set to 'Remove retired applications and media'.
Application Revision Cleanup
Application revisions are removed from Configuration Manager before distributing content to a distribution point group. This improvement prevents potential performance issues when Revision cleanup is set to 'True' and the application has dependencies.

Pre-set Reason Categories for Privilege Elevation
As a Privilege Manager administrator, you can now require end users, and those generating activation codes for end users, to choose a reason for requesting temporary privilege elevation from a list of pre-set categories. Selectable reason categories reduce data entry inconsistencies and offer easier sorting and filtering on Privilege Manager reports. Reporting Improvements
- Activation Type: The Agents page and Activation Codes report now display an Activation Type that differentiates elevation by 'activation code' and 'self-service'.
- Domain: The Agents page, Activation Codes report, and Retrieved Passwords report now display domain information for a specific agent. Agents can also be sorted by domain.
Endpoint Insights
FIPS Compliance Compatibility: Endpoint Insights can now be installed in environments where FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) compliance is required.
Recast Management Server
Recast Agent Performance Improvements: We've greatly improved the speed at which the Agent service connects after an Agent restart. A connection that previously took up to a minute to complete now happens in under 10 seconds!
