New Entra ID- and Intune-Specific Tools

• Delete Devices from Azure: Along with the ability to remove devices from Intune (introduced last month), you can now remove devices from Entra using the same tool.
• Sync Intune App and Compliance Policy: You can now force an Intune policy synchronization.

Support for GCC High Environments in Intune

You can now run Right Click Tools in GCC High environments using the Right Click Tools for Intune browser extension. This functionality requires at least version 2.0.0.6 of the browser extension.

LIMITATION: Support for Delete Devices from Azure (Intune/Entra), Synchronize Intune App and Compliance Policy, and Add Devices to an Entra Group in GCC High environments will be added at a later date.

Recast Portal

User Experience Improvements

When you log into the Recast Portal, you'll notice some updates to the wording and row order. These changes are intended to add clarifying details and make the portal easier to use.

Users logging into the Recast Portal will see the following edits:

• On the login page, the Username label is now Username (Email Address) 
• The note above the table now includes the former names for Privileged Access (Privilege Manager) and Patching (Application Manager)
• Right Click Tools Community has moved to the top of the table
• Right Click Tools Insights is now in proximity to Right Click Tools Enterprise 
• The Right Click Tools Insights description now includes its former name, Endpoint Insights
• On the Email confirmed page, Log in to access licenses,... is now Log in to download Recast software, access licenses,...

NOTE: These changes went into effect on August 13th, 2025 as portal updates are not included in a software release.

Permissions: Users with the required admin permissions no longer see an 'Insufficient Recast Permissions' error. (Customer-Reported Bug 76147)

Service Connections: Attempting to view or edit a service connection in the Unconfirmed Service Connections window no longer results in an unresponsive Recast Management Server.

Right Click Tools

Console Extension: Customers who do not have the ConfigMgr console installed locally on the device will no longer see a 'Parameter "SiteServer" (string) must not be null or whitespace' error when running actions that use the two-grid view. (Customer-Reported Bug 73294)

Browser Extension: You can now select context menu items on the first click. (Customer-Reported Bug 76832)

Privileged Access (previously Privilege Manager)

Agents: Duplicate and non-existent users or groups no longer appear in the Groups view. (Customer-Reported Bug 11999)

Patching (previously Application Manager)

Deployment Processes: The environment name remains visible after clicking the Save button in the Deployment Process Details side panel.

Version 5.10.2507.3105 is an off-cycle release that does not introduce new Recast application features.

This release updates product names to reflect the addition of Endpoint Insights, Privilege Manager, and Application Manager as modules within Right Click Tools Enterprise. This release also includes minor enhancements and bug fixes for Recast Management Server, Right Click Tools, and Application Manager (hereafter called Patching).

In-Product Naming Updates

As Endpoint Insights, Privilege Manager, and Application Manager become add-ons within Right Click Tools, you'll see the following name changes in the Recast Management Server interface, the Right Click Tools console extension in Configuration Manager, and the Right Click Tools for Intune browser extension.

Snapshots: The default Maximum Snapshot Age in Recast Management Server Settings is now 90 days (up from 30 days), making it easier to compare months on Right Click Tools web dashboards.

Console Extension: Resolves an 'ArgumentNullException' error displayed in the two-grid results window when running actions via the browser extension with no Configuration Manager console installed on the device. (Customer-Reported Bug 73294)

Patching

Additional Installation Parameters: The Additional Installation Parameters setting now works in conjunction with pre-/post-install actions.

Deployment Processes: Application import into Intune no longer fails.

Email Templates: Correctly displays an error message if you attempt to name an email template using an existing template name.

New Entra ID- and Intune-Focused Tools

Introducing two Recast actions to help you manage devices in Entra ID and Intune.

• Add Devices to an Entra Group
• Delete Devices from Azure (Intune)

KNOWN ISSUE: The Delete Devices from Azure (Intune) action has a browser extension issue that is resolved in the August 2025 release.

NOTE: These two features are available via the Right Click Tools console extension and the Right Click Tools for Intune browser extension. Both features require v2.0.0.6 of the browser extension. The new version becomes available in the Google Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store once each vendor completes its approval process.

More Device Management Tools in Intune

Right Click Tools for Intune now includes Recast actions developed during our recent Hackathon, as well as some classic Tools that were previously unavailable from the browser extension.

Audit Log Improvements 

Your Recast Management Server's Audit Log page now displays results as they return, meaning that you can monitor progress and interact with the page while results load—which is especially helpful when returning larger data sets.

Application Manager

Run Pre- and Post-Install Actions

Perform custom actions before and/or after a new application version is installed by adding a PowerShell script or an executable command to individual or all deployment processes. For details, see Pre- and Post-Install Actions.

Known Issue: Currently, the Additional Installation Parameters setting will not work in conjunction with pre-/post-scripting. Additional uninstallation parameters are not affected. This issue is fixed in the next release.

Run Multi-Device Actions in Intune

With the introduction of the Recast side panel in Right Click Tools for Intune, you can now multi-select devices and run an action against all of them at once. This feature requires a connection to Recast Management Server infrastructure.

Enjoy a Better System Information Experience in Intune

Selecting System Information in Right Click Tools for Intune now opens the Recast side panel in your browser. This means you can surface all the same System Information data and actions faster within a cleaner and more usable design.

Set Up Automatic Email Notifications

Use Application Manager's new email templates to set up and deliver automatic success and failure notifications for deployment processes and/or individual deployment steps. For success messages, you can also create new email templates that include the specific wording and deployment process details you choose.

Extend a Deployment Delay

When setting up a deployment process, you can now delay an individual deployment step by up to 30 days. That's up from a previous limit of 7 days.

Easier Agent Management, Re-enrollment & Cleanup

The new Agent Management web dashboard uncomplicates the task of overseeing communications between your agents and Recast Management Server. Find out when an agent last connected to an agent gateway, and the specific gateway to which an agent connects, to pinpoint connectivity issues.

Behind the scenes, we've added automatic agent re-enrollment, as well as an agent cleanup process that automatically removes inactive and duplicate agents, which means less time spent manually managing agents that fail to communicate with RMS.

You'll notice some visual design changes in RMS. We've adjusted the look of a number of user interface elements for quick recognition and improved usability.

Navigation panel updates

A new Recast Management Server wordmark aligns with our branding When you select a menu item: The text is bolded for differentiation  The item is highlighted with a blue bar (rather than a grey one) to make the current selection more obvious at a glance Chevrons (^) are smaller, making them less conspicuous

RMS page updates

Edit and Delete icons are now displayed in greyscale to reduce their prominence Header and footer rows now have a grey (rather than blue) background to allow strategic color use on buttons and symbols to stand out Column headings are bolded for improved legibility and differentiation from text within the table

Installation: Clicking 'Skip SQL Connection Test' during installation now stops all SQL connection attempts. (Customer-Reported Bug 68191)

Discovery Sync: 

• Running a sync no longer produces a 'String or binary data would be truncated in table' error. (Customer-Reported Bug 72409)
• Running a sync for an active directory domain with a deeply nested hierarchy no longer produces a timeout error.

Task Scheduler: The Recast Management Server now communicates with the Task Scheduler Agent to determine whether cleanup tasks exist.

Service Connection Synchronization

Your Recast Management Server now retrieves user and device data from Configuration Manager and Active Directory service connections according to a synchronization schedule.

Customers who apply several limiting rules (previously known as scopes) for routes or users will see the greatest performance improvements when running Right Click Tools actions.

Custom Role Templates Available in RMS

We've made it easier to set up custom roles and permissions in your Recast Management Server. Previously, you'd download the PowerShell script for three custom roles from our Help site to add them in RMS. Now the Read-Only, Remote Software Center, and Content Distribution Monitor Dashboard roles are available by default on the RMS Permissions page.

Right Click Tools Browser Extension Available from Google Chrome

The Right Click Tools browser extension is now available from the Google Chrome web store. The browser extension works with the Enterprise or Community Editions of Right Click Tools, allowing you to run familiar tools and actions from within the Microsoft Intune Admin Center.
