Application Manager currently has a known issue affecting application package download when Recast Management Server is run on an Azure Virtual Machine that uses an Azure Private DNS zone. In this case, the following may be unreachable and produce DNS name resolution errors:
Application Manager Enterprise: prod02amappcatalogpub.blob.core.windows.net
Application Manager Standard: prodamappcatalogpub.blob.core.windows.net
This issue will be resolved in an upcoming Recast Software release. In the meantime, we recommend two workarounds.
Workaround
There are two options for working around the issue:
- Add a new record to your Azure Private DNS zone. This record must be an A (host) record with an IP address. The record cannot be a CNAME (alias).
TIP: You can look up the IP address using the nslookup
command on a device that is not using the private DNS zone.
Application Manager Enterprise: nslookup prod02amappcatalogpub.blob.core.windows.net
Application Manager Standard: nslookup prodamappcatalogpub.blob.core.windows.net
- Add the DNS name to the HOSTS file on the server where Recast Proxy is installed.
