You can add, refresh, or remove an Application Workspace license, and check your license status, by navigating to Manage > System > Licensing.

The Licensing page displays the following details:
- License state - The state of the current license. It should always be active.
- License - Shows which product/edition is licensed. For an overview of Application Workspace capabilities, see the Recast website.
- Licensed to - The virtual host name for which this license is granted. It needs to match the primary domain (Virtual Host). Changing the primary domain without updating the license will render it invalid and will disable the zone.
- Expires - The zone will no longer be usable after this date, unless the license is renewed.
- License type - The license type issued to your organization.
- Purchased license type - The method used to track the license usage.
Information bar - displays the number of licenses purchased and how many are in use. When more users are in use than the number of licenses purchased, a portion of the bar appears in red. In this case, contact your CSM to purchase additional licenses.
NOTE: Some license types do not have information related to the number of purchases.
License expiration - A warning appears when the license expires within 14 days. We recommend renewing the license before it expires.

View the License Usage Report
To view your Application Workspace License Usage Report, open the Licensing page and click License usage report. The report displays details related to your purchase license.
Details shown:
- Unique users with login access
- Licenses in use
- Purchased license type
- Excluded users
- Purchased licenses
- Permissions that grant login access NOTE: For privacy reasons, the list of permissions that grant login access and the user count are only accessible from within the zone. This information is not accessible from the Zone management interface.
- Active licenses represent workspace that are active. In other words, when a user gets permission to use the Application Workspace, it will count as a license in use.
- The license count does not include the LOCAL\Admin or disabled user accounts.
- If a user is part of multiple groups/contexts/collections, their usage is counted only once.
