Once you've ensured that your system meets Application Manager for MECM Requirements, we recommend deploying Application Manager and its Recast components according to this implementation workflow.

Recommended workflow for Application Manager for MECM
1. Download the following Recast components from the Recast Portal:
- Recast Management Server
- Recast Proxy
2. Install Recast Management Server with Recast Proxy.
If you've already installed Recast Management Server with a Recast Proxy for another Recast product, there's no need to reinstall RMS and Proxy to add Application Manager. Just ensure that your Recast Management Server is running Recast Software version 5.4 or later, as that is the version that introduced Application Manager in RMS.
3. Configure MECM for Application Manager.
4. Configure required permissions for the Recast Proxy.
5. Configure Recast Management Server roles and permissions for Application Manager.
Once you've set up both MECM and Recast Management Server for Application Manager, you're ready to do your initial setup of Application Manager.
