New Feature
Recast Management Server
The RMS Agents page now displays Agent Gateway information, making it easy to identify the Gateway server to which an Agent is connected.
Bug Fixes
Recast Management Server
Agent Gateway: Adds the missing .NET 8 hosting bundle on standalone Agent Gateways where .NET 6 is installed. This removes the need in v5.7.2411 to add the hosting bundle separately for standalone Gateways. (Customer-Reported Bug 67469)
Audit Log: Adds missing audit log data after actions are sent to a Recast Agent. (Customer-Reported Bug 46104)
Permissions: Fixes an inability to rename Recast roles. (Customer-Reported Bug 66612)
SQL Database Connection: Fixes an issue where the computer account login is not created when installing RMS with a remote SQL instance.
Right Click Tools
Recast Builder: Fixes an inability to run Builder Actions over a Console Extension route. (Customer-Reported Bug 14033)
Privilege Manager
Target Groups: Fixes an issue where rules are not applied to a device after adding a new target to a target group using the 'Device object' type.
Application Manager
Installation: Fixes the Recast Management Server installer not working for customers licensed for Application Manager Enterprise only. (Customer-Reported Bug 44792)
Application Scheduling: Fixes Application Availability and Application Deadline options that are set 5 hours ahead of the intended time. (Customer-Reported Bug 64845)
Deployments: Fixes an issue where 7-zip causes a system reboot when deploying applications. (Customer-Reported Bug 67054)
Deployment Process Cleanup
- Stops the Remove Previous Versions setting from working when disabled.
- Fixes an error when multiple versions of an application are present in Intune.

Features
Application Manager
Multi-Environment Application Deployment
You can now deploy the same applications in both Configuration Manager and Intune environments.
Environment Information on Deployment Process Pages
If you're managing multiple deployment processes in different integrations, it can be challenging to recognize the integration targeted by each deployment process. We've made the task easier by adding environment information on the Deployment Processes and Deployment Process Details pages.
- On the Deployment Processes page, you'll see the Environment listed in the table. Hovering over the environment displays either the Site Code or the Tenant ID, depending on the integration.
- On the Deployment Process Details page, you can view the environments targeted by a specific deployment process.
Recast Software Infrastructure
Microsoft .NET Framework Upgrade
We've upgraded all Recast Software applications and components to use Microsoft's .NET 8 framework. The update takes advantage of performance improvements in .NET 8 while avoiding potential security issues as .NET 6 reaches end of support.
When you install Recast Software Version 5.7.2411.1105, the Recast Management Server will automatically install .NET 8 via the installer and the ASP.NET hosting bundle, if it is not already present on your system. Earlier versions of .NET are no longer required for Recast Software products.
NOTE: Prior to upgrading an Agent Gateway that is installed separately from your Recast Management Server, download and install Microsoft's ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle for .NET 8. Recast Software v5.7.2412 removes the need to install the hosting bundle separately for standalone Agent Gateways.
Bug Fixes
Recast Management Server
Device Sources: Removes an empty Device Sources page and the associated RMS menu item. (Customer-Reported Bug 13607)
Service Connections: Correctly removes the ability to include a space in an Active Directory service connection name.
Recast Portal
Fixes a confirmation banner that incorrectly displays the address from which password reset emails are sent as support@recastsoftware.com rather than registration@recastsoftware.com. (Customer-Reported Bug 66380)
Right Click Tools
Remote Software Center, Client Information, System Information: Restores the ability to interact with information on tabs while data loads. (Customer-Reported Bugs 66013, 66014, 62339)
Application Manager
Applications
- Removes an empty 'Version Currently Installed' column on the Applications page.
- Fixes an issue where the removal of a single-application deployment on the Applications page does not remove the application from all deployment processes.
Deployment Processes
Intune integrations
- Correctly removes the ability to select a group or target multiple times for a single deployment process.
- Fixes an issue where all groups used by deployment process steps are incorrectly displayed when editing a specific group.
Settings
- Adds a missing confirmation dialog after editing a setting.
- Fixes an issue where the side panel does not close after cancelling a setting change.
- Fixes inverted 'Retire' and 'Remove' Cleanup settings in proxy requests.
End of Life Announcement
End of support for SSRS 2014: This version includes a change to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) versions supported by Endpoint Insights. For EI reports to function correctly, you must update to a Microsoft-supported version of SSRS. The minimum version becomes SSRS 2016.
