Clear Cache — Client Tool on Collection

The Clear Cache tool clears the client cache on a remote device.

This tool can be run on device collections, or with a similar tool designed for single and multi-selected tools.

To run this tool:

1. In your Configuration Manager console, right-click on a device.

2. Click Right Click Tools > Client Tools > Client Information.

3. On the Cache tab, select client(s) cache and click Clear Cache.

4. Click Yes to confirm the change.

The window that opens displays progress and completion according to success.

Microsoft Permissions

  • Requires Administrator permissions on the remote device.
  • If a Recast Management Server is used with a proxy, that service account also needs admin permission on the remote device.
  • Requires Remote WMI access.
  • Requires access to connect to the C$ share.
