Licensing Community to Enterprise Edition

Once you have decided to purchase the enterprise version of Right Click Tools, you don’t need to reinstall to apply your enterprise license and unlock the Enterprise version of Right Click Tools!

Connecting Right Click Tools to Recast Management Server

Click on the start menu and open the Configure Recast RCT application.

When the application opens, on the first page, add the URL for the Recast Management Server in the empty RCT Enterprise Server field.

Hit Save once entered. If the ConfigMgr console is open, close and reopen it.

Downloading the license inside the Configure Recast RCT application

Internet access is required on the computer with the ConfigMgr Console installed for this method to succeed.

Click on the start menu and open the Configure Recast RCT application.

When the application opens, click on the Licensing tab. Under the Download License section, you should enter the Email Address and Password for your Recast Portal account and click “Retrieve License.” If successful, the below message will display. If you have the ConfigMgr Console open at the time you retrieve the license, you will need to restart the console.

To verify that the license has been activated, click on the Recast Software node under the Assets and Compliance section. If your license applied successfully, the Enterprise License box should be checked, and the License Expiration Date should have the date of your license expiration.

Manually downloading the license from the Recast Portal

No Internet connection is required on the ConfigMgr Console computer for this method to succeed.

Open the Recast portal webpage and log in using your portal account.

On the page that follows, you will see your license status, device count, expiration date, and the link to click to download the license. Under actions, click the black cloud download icon to download the license to your computer.

When the application opens, click on the Licensing tab. Click Browse in the Browse for License section. A dialog box will open for you to link to the downloaded file. If successful, the below message will display. If you have the ConfigMgr Console open at the time you retrieve the license, you will need to restart the console.

Copy the downloaded license files to c:\ProgramData\Recast Software\Licenses

Restart the ConfigMgr Console where Right Click Tools is installed.
