How to collect Logs
If you ever have trouble with your Right Click Tools environment, there may be a time where Recast Support will ask you for information from the logs. Here's where the logs are stored, and how to get them to us.
Recast Management Server
Logging is greatly improved with version 4.2.2004 of the Recast Management Server.
While inside the Recast Management Server interface, click Logging on the left side, and the logging pane will open.
The drop down menu at the top will default to "Information"
Click the dropdown and select "Debug"
If logging is currently being displayed in the window, click clear, then run your action.
If the window says Connecting... run your action to start the display of the logs.
When your action has completed (successfully or failed) click on the download button, and your web browser will download the logs to your default download location.
If you are unable to get into Recast Management Server
You can manually turn on the STDout Log by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Recast Software\Recast Management Server\web.config and changing stdoutLogEnabled="false" to stdoutLogEnabled="true".
You can view the resulting log by going to the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Recast Software\Logs
Note: Turn off STDout logging when done as it can take up a lot of space if left on for long periods of time.
