Hardware and Firmware Audit Dashboard

    This tool Scans your environment and displays the Chassis Type, Manufacturer, and Model of the computers in your ConfigMgr Collections in a chart. This tool can also show UEFI and SecureBoot status as well as Chassis Type, Operating System Version, and BIOS Version

    Important

    win32_computersystemproduct and win32_baseboard must be added to your hardware inventory classes for full functionality with Lenovo and HP models.

    Where the tool is located

    In the Assets and Compliance section of ConfigMgr, click on Hardware and Firmware Audit under the Recast Software Node.

    From the results you are able to run any Right Click Tools device action.

    Results can be exported to .CSV (Via the button at the bottom right of the page)

    Permissions

    The Hardware and Firmware Audit Dashboard requires the permissions below:

    Recast Permissions

    Requires the following permissions in the ConfigMgr Server section of the Recast Management Server:

    • GetDeviceCollectionMembers
    • GetAllDevices
    • GetAllDeviceCollections
    • GetSystemOperatingSystemInformation
    • GetChassisInformation
    • GetComputerSystemProductInformation
    • GetBaseboardInformation
    • GetSystemConsoleUsageData
    • GetSystemBiosInformation
    • GetSystemFirmwareStatus

    Additionally requires the Query AD permission in the Active Directory plugin. It also requires the Add or Remove Account from Group permission in the Active Directory plugin if it's desired to use the Add New Direct Group or Remove from Group features of the tool.

    Microsoft Permissions

    The Hardware and Firmware Audit Dashboard requires read rights to device collections for the Collection drop-down. It will need permissions to query devices within those collections as well as those devices' hardware inventory data.
